sir
of late if you would look at the focused funds they may not look very attractive in terms of returns. though these funds not many had been launched and all of them were closed ended, entry would be a question now. the reason for the under performances would be two pronged A) the equity valuation of these companies have taken a huge drubbing. b) the debt portion would be valued lower ( holding to maturity would see something better if there is no default in the borrowing entity)
So if you want to look for investing with a conservative perspective
split your asset into different asset classes( cash, short term deposits, gold) and still look with diversified equity funds as they would be a much better bet in such times. |

India Real Estate Fund has recorded a steep rise due to the high returns it yields as is evident from the super-inflated real estate bubble in India. India real estate investments have helped in the expansion of India Real Estate Market tremendously.
Government of India has relaxed the various laws governing control and regulation of foreign investments in India and real estate funds in India that has encouraged flow of funds into the real estate sector in India in April 2004, Security and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) allowed Venture Fund Investment in local real estate market. The contribution of Foreign Direct Investments (FDI) and other foreign liquidity funds have seen a steady rise of 40 - 45% per year. |
