Why is it that Indian markets correct so sharply whenever there is a downturn? |

It can be taken as lack of knowladge as well as less participation of retail investors which are having long term prospects.Genearly FII's & DII's moves the market because of which our market replicates International Markets.
only need is to increase awareness as well as proper type interpratation of news. |

NOBOBY COMPLAINED WHEN THE INDIAN MARKET WAS AT ITS PEAK
EVEVRY BULL RALLY HAS THREE PHASES
FIRST : STOCK PRICES ACCELERATE TO A CERTAIN DEGREE
SECOND : PRICES SOAR TO EXHUBARANT LIMITS
THIRD : PRICES START FALLING TO A DEGREE ABD THATS THE SIGNAL WHERE ONE SHOULD BOOK PROFITS AND WAIT FOR THE NEXT RALLY
ITS A WORLDWIDE PHENOMENON DARLING , SO DONT WORRY HOLD YOUR STOCKS FOR ANOTHER 3 YEARS SEE THE RESULTS
ITS TIME TO CHURN UR PORTFOLIO
ANY OTHER QUERIES BOUT PARTICULAR STOCKS ARE WELCOME AND U CAN ALWAYS SELL UR HOLDINGS WHEN A CRUCIAL SUPPORT IS BROKEN AND I BELEIVE THERE IS 20 TO 30 % DOWNSIDE IN SOME STOCKS |

The phenomena is simple
1) Our markets are not big and deep and even a small percentage movement is enough to shake and swing it. One Billion saleout could shake the markets to a good 400 to 700 points(our retailer would also participate). And mind you the money size out there is hundreds of times bigger.
2)Our own faith in our institutions are very less where as some one from out is willing to put his best bet here.
3) We don't belive that equity investing is for some time horizon and thus we play short on this instrument and long on a debt instrument, instead of this being reverse.
3)Our media is responsible for more damage then anybody else.
4) Most important markets work on future valuations When the markets gollop this basic precedents are thrown into the air. And when the same comes to the most perfect valuation the people worry will i make money here. Markets are efficient they react to the situations far more earlier then a normal investors could. The technicals and the fundamentals could be zero if the sentiments are gloomy. And mind you the best of the gloomy times never lasted very long. So the lesson to learn is serious investing is for keeps sake and there you make money. If you want to bet then even horses and dices or cards are available why not do it there!!!!!!!!!! |
